BreaklineSports First Breakout Athlete
For over 16 years, Paul Kenneth "Ken" Arpilleda has dedicated himself to mastering the game of billiards, building a career defined by precision, determination, and a relentless competitive spirit.
Originally from Bacolod and now based in Novaliches, Quezon City, Kenneth's journey into cue sports began under the guidance and inspiration of his father, Victor Arpilleda, a 1997 SEA Games Gold Medalist. Growing up around the sport, Kenneth developed a deep appreciation for the discipline, focus, and competitive mindset required to succeed at the highest level. What started as a childhood passion eventually evolved into a lifelong pursuit of excellence.
Today, Kenneth holds the distinction of being BreaklineSports First Breakout Athlete, representing the brand's commitment to discovering, developing, and supporting Filipino billiards talent. His success reflects not only years of hard work but also the values of perseverance, professionalism, and sportsmanship that BreaklineSports stands for.
Known for his aggressive yet composed playing style, Kenneth is a confident shot-maker who thrives under pressure. He embraces challenging shots and offensive opportunities while maintaining the discipline necessary to control the flow of the game. His combination of creativity, confidence, and strategic thinking has earned him respect from fellow competitors and fans alike.
Throughout his career, Kenneth has built a competitive journey, including major victories in the Star Paper Pre-New Year 10-Ball Championship, Star Paper Tiger Cup, Junior Solo Open Cup in Indonesia, Star Paper Dragon Cup, and the Indonesian Expat 8-Ball Championship. He also achieved notable runner-up finishes in the Semen Gresik NFC Junior Championship and the Philippine Junior Pool Championship, showcasing his talent on both local and international stages.
One of the most memorable chapters of his career came when he partnered with Filipino billiards legend Carlo Biado to capture back-to-back Lucky Break Doubles Tandem Championships. Competing alongside one of the sport's most respected names remains one of Kenneth's proudest experiences and highlights his ability to perform among the best.
In 2026, Kenneth added another significant milestone to his journey by becoming a member of the Manila MSW Mavericks, a team that continues to raise the standard of competitive billiards in the Philippines. Being selected to represent the Mavericks is an achievement he considers among the proudest moments of his career.
What Kenneth enjoys most about billiards is the challenge. Every rack presents a new puzzle that requires discipline, strategy, pattern recognition, and mental toughness. For him, success is not simply about making shots—it's about making the right decisions under pressure and staying one step ahead of the competition.
When asked what advice he would give aspiring players, his answer is straightforward:
"Keep on practicing. Never stop playing."
